Our Process
Choosing an engagement ring shouldn't feel daunting. At Xronos, it's our mission to provide a relaxed, obligation-free experience for clients to discover their dream ring. No sales tactics, just creative conversation and ideas with a studio passionate about their craft.
At Xronos, we specialise in creating custom and bespoke engagement rings, from timeless classics to one-of-a-kind silhouettes.
Step One
Design Appointment
We only host one design appointment in our Brisbane studio at a time.
The process begins with a tailored design consult where we discuss your budget, inspiration and vision. You can try on our collections and view loose stone options.
Here, we get into the finer details so that we can understand your vision and requirements, while also providing guidance and knowledge of jewellery best practice.
Our appointments are held in a relaxed and welcoming environment, with no obligation on the day.
Step Two
Tailored Stone Sourcing
If further gemstone sourcing is required for your piece, we will source a tailored selection for your review following your appointment. Gemstone sourcing is an important step, as our designs are tailored to each gemstone and its measurements and proportions.
You'll receive options to view digitally, and we can also source options for in-person viewing.
We work with our Australian-based suppliers to source certified natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, and gemstones of all variety.
Once your gemstone is chosen, we issue a 50% deposit to continue to the detailed design phase.
Step Three
Detailed Design
Once your gemstone is selected and deposit paid, we begin the exciting step of creating your detailed design concepts using computer aided design (known as CAD).
These drawings are to the specifications of your chosen gemstone and highly detailed. Our turn-around creating your design renders is up to 2 weeks.
You can make revisions to the design and provide approval.
We also offer the addition of a wax mock-up, for clients seeking to try-on a tangible product before approving their design (note: available for bespoke only with a $150 fee).
Step Four
Crafting
Once your design is approved, we commence the exciting crafting stage. Our small team crafts locally, right here in our Brisbane studio.
Our lead time is 6-8 weeks from date of design approval. Lead times are always discussed with clients individually.
Step Five
Completion
The final polish is complete, and now it's time to let you know your beautiful ring is ready for collection. You'll be notified by our team to arrange collection or postage.
The remaining balance is due within 7 days of completion, regardless if the ring is collected at a later date. Photos and videos will be shared for you to see your ring.
