Engagement spotlight: Georgia & Tom

When Georgia and Tom approached us in late 2022, their inspiration and ideas quickly got us excited. In tow, Georgia had brought along to our initial design consultation a pendant containing a Ceylon-type sapphire with diamond accents. From this pendant came the vision to transform the sapphire into a solitaire engagement ring and a wedding band with four hammer-set diamonds. The design was beautifully unique, with a focus on texture, natural lines and shape, resulting in a piece that was truly personal to Georgia.

Geordan melted down recycled 18ct yellow gold, before rolling it into a bar for the engagement ring and matching band. The sapphire and diamonds had to be extracted from the pendant, ready to be set into each piece. The engagement ring featured a brushed gold finish, which complemented the natural blue hues of the sapphire. To contrast, the matching diamond band had a textural, hammered finish.

The end result was beautiful and unique, and we were incredibly happy to have been given the opportunity to bring Georgia and Tom's vision to life.

How did he propose?
Tom took me to our favourite place for a picnic. He asked me to get us a drink from the picnic basket to which I found champagne…. When I turned he had the ring box open and then proposed

"We could tell how much XRONOS cared about our rings and the overall process. Even from our initial interactions we knew we were in good hands"  - Georgia
